In the case of Evacuation
Herald Island Evacuation Safety Protocol
In the event of an emergency requiring evacuation, your safety is our top priority. Please follow these steps to ensure you and your family are accounted for:
Evacuate Promptly: When notified to evacuate, leave your home immediately. Take your pets!
Take your Grab Bag - containing essential supplies for your family and animals.
BE PREPARED: Find out what you need for you and your pets:
Signal Your Departure: Place a bright red item (cloth, ribbon, card) in your letterbox. This will inform emergency services that your home has been evacuated. Leave a brief note if you need to advise AEM of anything important.
Stay Informed: Follow updates from emergency services via radio, social media, or other designated communication channels.
Follow Instructions: Return to your home only when it is declared safe to do so by the authorities.
Your cooperation is crucial in ensuring everyone’s safety. Thank you for your attention and preparedness.
